Asphalt Laborer

Key Responsibilities

  • Rake and level asphalt to ensure a smooth and consistent finish.
  • Distribute asphalt material to the proper depth and specifications.
  • Operate hand tools such as rakes, shovels, and hand tamps.
  • Spot and correct imperfections in the asphalt mat, including high and low spots.
  • Ensure joints are raked properly and blended to provide strong compaction and a smooth finish.
  • Communicate effectively with equipment operators and site foreman.
  • Clean and maintain tools and equipment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of asphalt paving experience.
  • Knowledge of asphalt raking techniques.

CDL Driver

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate tandem axle dump trucks to transport asphalt, stone, millings, and other materials to and from job sites.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues.
  • Back trucks safely to the paver and other equipment while maintaining awareness of crew members and surroundings.
  • Work closely with paving crews to ensure a continuous supply of asphalt and materials.
  • Load, secure, and transport equipment and materials in compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and required documentation.
  • Keep trucks clean and assist with routine maintenance and servicing.
  • Follow all company safety policies and traffic laws.
  • Assist with paving, grading, and labor duties when not actively driving.
  • Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers, suppliers, and the public.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements.

Asphalt Screed Operator

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate screed controls to maintain consistent depth, slope, width, and mat quality.
  • Make fine adjustments to achieve a smooth, level finish and proper joint matching.
  • Monitor asphalt mix quality, temperature, and mat consistency throughout paving operations.
  • Communicate effectively with the paver operator, roller operators, and ground crew.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise asphalt paving crews to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
